Jessica Rachel Williams's profound sensitivity to the world around her fuels her artistic vision. Her philosophy: “All we have are different moments of now.” She consistently finds new perspectives in familiar spaces, revealing the extraordinary in the ordinary, the beauty in the everyday.

Throughout her childhood, Jessica exhibited a courageous spirit and unbridled creativity, whether she was painting with a long reed in the rain puddles of her Palo Alto cul-de-sac or constructing forts from moss and bark in the woods of Alsace. Spending her formative years in France shaped her identity as a global chameleon with a passion for intentional living.

Regardless of medium, Jessica has always been interested in capturing tension and contrast — particularly the ephemeral play of light and shadow. Nature is her muse, and she is sensitive to the synchronicities of color, line, and natural forms. Through her photography practice, she is committed to finding inspiration in her daily surroundings, however mundane or beautiful.

Jessica earned a degree in Studio Art from Principia College and later enhanced her skills in shoe design and construction through continuing education at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Recently, she participated in several intensive weekend workshops dedicated to figure sculpture at The Art Students League.

Jessica has spent much of her career in the New York fashion industry, using her free time for studio sessions. Her passion for style, sparked by her teenage obsession with French magazines and ’90s supermodels, breaks through in her photography practice, where she explores diverse subjects and formats — abstract, observational, self-portraiture and beyond.

Her work is a striking montage of presence, composed of fleeting moments in time. Immediate, intimate, but not precious. It is as if she views herself and her life through a separate eye.
